The 1920s Wedding Dress is a great idea to wear if you are looking for that perfect vintage look.
I still remember from a high school business/economics class, that during the various economic periods, it could be seen that there was a correlation between the length of hemlines and how the economy was doing.

As the world was finishing up with WWI, the various countries around the world were recovering with business booms. This was definitely reflected with the hemlines of the 1920s.Although, the hemlines did rise during the 1920s, they mostly stayed around the ankle or mid calf until the mid 1920s, when they rose 14 to 16 inches (45 to 50 cm) from the ground making the shorter hemline we associate with the twenties era.
If ladies were not as comfortable with such a short hemline, they could choose a waivering hemline which would be either short in front and long on the sides, etc. so that they would still be in fashion. Clothes of the 1920s became simpler and lighter in weight with silhouettes being straight and tubular coloumn with dropped waists covering all body curves. Since feminine curves were long a symbol of a woman's fraility, perhaps the 1920s era wedding dress is a real "strong" choice for a bride! Wedding dresses have traditionally been based on the popular styles of the day. So, for example, the wedding dress of the 1920s was typically short in the front with a longer train in the back and were worn with cloche-style wedding veils. These veils were fitted and bell-shaped so that they conformed to the head.
