Addressing invitation to married couple, but wife is a doctor

by Sue
(Tuscaloosa)

What is the proper way to address a married couple but the wife is a doctor? Would this be correct....
Mr. Joe Schmoe and Doctor Jane Schmoe

Answer:

Yes! Most definitely use "Doctor". She worked hard and earned those credentials! As etiquette goes...

If one of your guests is a doctor, then the wedding invitation etiquette rules state to use the title Dr. instead of Mr. or Ms.
