Autumn Wedding CakesAutumn Wedding Cakes are the perfect match for your autumn themed wedding or if you are having your wedding in the autumn months. 
You have a lot of choices to make in order to create your perfect wedding cake for your autumn wedding. Now you could go the whole traditional route and have an ordinary wedding cake, or you can tie your cake in with the season of your marriage.Whether you choose your wedding cake to be a slab cake, tiered cake, cupcake cake, etc. your cake can really be a show stopper by how you choose to decorate it on the outside and for the flavoring you choose on the inside! Instead of just using vanilla or white cake, what about using some spicy spice cake, pumpkin, carrot cake or something along those lines? How about serving some nice Chai tea with it as well? On the outside, use anything that is indicative of a fall theme such as the colours of red, orange, yellow and brown, leaves, pumpkins, gourds, wheat, sunflowers, etc. You get the idea! If you are having your cake made by a baker just pass on some of these suggestions and how far you want her to take it. Choose either to go all out or toned down, it's going to be up to you! A gorgeous autumn themed four tiered wedding cake, buttercream icing and royal icing pansies done in fall colors. 
I just love the fall decorations used on this cake! Not only the colors but cat tails, acorns, leaves. All but the flowers on the table are gum paste. 
Who says that you have to have a whole cake...here it is shown that you can also have autumn themed wedding cupcakes for your special day. Note the little cake on top that can still be used for ceremonial cutting. 
You can also choose to serve your wedding guests each a little mini cakes such as these. Each one was vanilla sponge with vanilla buttercream covered in fondant. Leaf and acorn decorations made out of white and dark chocolate painted with lustre dust. 
Another beautiful example of an autumn theme wedding cake, this time with lovely scrollwork on the sides of the cake and fall flowers as decor inbetween the tiers of the cake. 
Now this little cake is just tooooo cute! The top tier and cupcakes are chocolate mint while the bottom tier is vanilla. The leaves, acorns, bride and groom are marshmallow fondant and the leaves are dusting with gold luster dust. 
A beautiful cake with autumn leaves and orange tiger lilies. The cake was strawberry marble cake with white truffle filling.
