Buffet Table Activities to Keep Your Guests Moving

The buffet table is one of my favorite styles of wedding reception.





It's an easy way to satisfy your guest's hunger with all you can eat style, hot food, and relatively cheap at usually under or around $20 a plate.

The problem with having your reception meal buffet style is that usually everyone stands in an enormous line waiting or are left sitting at tables staring longingly at those waiting in line already for the food.

To try to get your guests to the buffet table as quickly and as orderly as possible, try these ways.

The Number System

If you have your tables numbered, you can have the DJ or MC call each table up to the buffet by their number, after the head table and parent's have gone up first.

Themes or Colors

Instead of using table numbers, you might want to use the above technique with either different colors for each table or a different theme for each table.

Trivial Pursuit

Prior to your wedding reception, write down some questions for your guests to answer. In order for your guests to gain access to the food, each table must correctly answer a question.

Choose the table who answers the question first to get to go up to fill their plate. If you are at a loss as to what questions to ask, you should check out a company called Printable Games AtoZ . They have great games you can immediately print for use. Check them out!

Either way you decide how to get your guests to the buffet table, it is a great way to feed them and keep them happy for a lower price!
