Some ideas to use in a castle cake are turrets, moats, draw bridges, towers, prince and princess, etc. You could even choose to make your castle themed cake into a sand castle cake if you are having a beach wedding or destination wedding! A different way to have a castle cake! Here is a three tiered cake made up of 6", 10" and 14" round cakes (chocolate cake with strawberry filling) and draped in fondant and dry-brushed with luster dust. 
Castle themed wedding cakes can also just have the castle on the side such as this one, with a traditional wedding cake.
