Cheap Wedding Cakes

Looking for Cheap Wedding Cakes? There are several options available to you to find the perfect cake for your wedding at the price you can afford.

One way to keep costs down is to stick with simple flavours like chocolate or vanilla. When you get into fancy fillings for your cake, that's when the price goes up.

Another way is to keep your cake as a slab or other simple shape.

Tier cakes, whether they be round, square, heart, etc. cost more because they are more tricky to put together and properly shape.

If you want to have tier cakes, you can always ask your baker to supply you with "dummy" tier cakes and then a slab cake for cutting and serving.

Check out more style of Simple Wedding Cakes to see what you could have your baker make for you that would be less expensive.

One thing that you should consider when pricing your cake, (baker's usually quote you a price by the slice) you should also find out how much your caterer will charge you for "cutting" the cake.

Some will charge $1.00 per slice or more. This you will have to factor in to the total price of your cake.

Another way to save on the cost of your cake is to avoid very fancy decorations on your cake. The more time the baker has to spend on decorating your cake, the more he/she will charge.

Once again, check out some Simple Wedding Cakes.

You could also look into having Cupcake Wedding Cakes instead of a regular wedding cake. This might also be a cheaper option (no "cutting" fee from your caterer?)

You can also cut down on the size of your cake to reign in costs, but always make sure that you will still have enough to feed all of your guests plus some extra in case anyone wants seconds.

So you can see, there are ways to have cheap wedding cakes at your wedding! You could also check out my page on Wedding Cake Price to find out what makes up the prices of cakes.
