When you Design Your Wedding Dress, you can really have the dress of your dreams, but first you have to investigate and learn about all the different options you have to think about to incorporate into your design.
Design Your Wedding Dress - Materials to UseOne of the first things you have to think about when you are going to design your own wedding dress, is the type of Wedding Dress Fabric you will be using. Some fabrics are quite light in nature, whereas others are quite heavy and thicker. Think of the time of the year when you are going to be married, or, if you are planning a destination wedding, investigate what the weather and temperature is going to be like where you are going to be married. You don't want to end up wearing heavy velvet fabric on an 86 degree beach in Jamaica! The type of Wedding Dress Fabric you choose also depends on the cut and the style of the wedding dress you are going to be designing. For instance, if you are wanting perhaps a more vintage or Victorian look, you would be looking at a Batiste fabric to get that homespun Vintage Style Wedding Dress look. If you want a more sexy, clingy look, satin is ideal, just make sure that your dress isn't too tight to begin with. Some fabrics are matte finish and some are more shiny in nature so it all depends on the look you want. Whatever fabric you choose, don't forget all the different kinds of Wedding Dress Lace that you can use to adorn it as well. Design Your Wedding Dress - ColorTraditional wedding dresses are usually white, but there are a myriad of other colors that your wedding dress can come in including ivory, cream, gold, silver, red, blue, pink. Some suggestions for your wedding dress depending on your skin tone:
- Diamond, Natural or Silk White: flatters a wide range of skin tones from fair to dark.
- Stark (or the whitest) White: flatters dark skins or deep tans or pale skin with yellow or olive undertones.
- Ivory or Eggshell White: creamy white works well with fair skin and pink undertones.
