Do I Have to Have a Head Table?

Do we have to have a head table at our reception? Is it tacky if we don't?

We are having a laid back reception at a fire house event room with lunch style food and it is only ourselves and a maid of honor and best man in the bridal party.

Can't we just sit together but mingle? It seems senseless to waste one table on us just long enough to eat and then mingle around with our friends.

Answer:

Hi, and thanks for your question!

You certainly do not have to have a head table.

Personally, I hated having to be on display with everyone seeing me eating at my own wedding!

I love "out of the box thinking" and I love it when someone wants something different for their wedding. So kudos to you!

If your fiancé is in full agreement with not having a head table, then go for it.

I think your wedding is going to be awesome without it!
