Do NOT buy from Sharon Bridal

I brought a Maggie Sottero dress from Sharon Bridal, when it arrived it was sub-standard and very different from the original design.

I am now struggling to get a refund for the dress that I paid to have returned by courier - their stipulation in order to receive a full refund.

I did pay through paypal, who now won't help me because more than 45 days have passed.

Has anyone else had problems like this and managed to resolve them? Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Janice,

Thanks for writing to us about your experience with Sharon Bridal.

A lot of these cheap wedding dress supplier sites make their online deals look attractive by putting up pictures of real designer dresses on their sites but what you receive is a cheaper quality knock-off.

Sometimes the old saying "If something appears to be too good to be true, it usually is" does come into play.

I looked at their return policy and they state that "We want you to be completely satisfied with your online purchase. Should you need to return an item, we'll exchange it or credit you with purchase price .Please review the complete details of our return policy below to determine if any special conditions apply."

So it looks as though they don't give cash refunds, just store credit or exchange.

But that really doesn't help you if you are not happy with the quality of dress that they sent you in the first place!

If this company is located in China, one bride did get some satisfaction by going to their version of the Better Business Bureau and filing a complaint. It is called the Consumer Council
