Letter from purchaser to Inweddingdress.comDear Inwedding dress. I read your return policy, I measured as instructed.
The dress arrived very beautiful but not to the measurements ordered. This is your mistake and therefore does conform to your return policy.
I will return the dress as per instructed. your timely effort to replace the dress in the size measurements of W 22 bust 49, waist 43, hips 51.5 will is appreciated.
Since I have already had the wrong size sent and since I will not have time for any mistakes, I would feel more comfortable ordering a size W22 measured Bust 49" Waist 43" Hips 51.5" I would rather the dress be too big than too small. I can always have it taken in a bit.
I took the dress to be shipped today and found out that China has a 3 day national holiday the week of June 14-15-16 "dragon boat days".
The shipping service said they would not be able to deliver the dress until the 21st. There is no way for me to meet your 7 day or else dead line.
I then took the dress to a Chinese alteration specialist. She measured the dress and confirmed the dress is only 44" in the bust. Not the 47" standard size ordered.
Your policy clearly states that if the order was your mistake I could refund/return the dress. I would have never ordered from an all sales final company.
I felt very confident in ordering from you because you had very clear instruction as to how to measure and had all the measurements listed for the dress size.
I am very unsatisfied with your inability to admit that this was your error. The pictures that you asked for clearly show the dress measurements and yet you still refuse to except responsibility.
I now do not have time to wait for the dress to be sent to you and then back to me I would be willing to except your offer of $50.00 credit toward a new dress except I no longer have confidence in your company.
Weddings are very expensive, I have already spent $162.00 for a dress I can not wear. I can not afford another dress.
I now am going to have to try to sell this dress before my daughters wedding, so I can try to buy something else.
I am a very sad Mother of the Bride because of your shameful treatment and resistance to make this right.
I will be turning this story over to ABC news in San Francisco. I will be posting this correspondence on all web search sites available to prevent your irresponsible business practices to steel money from customers.
I expect your internet sales reputation will be affected negatively since reviews are very important to future potential buyers, or maybe you don't care about that either, just like you don't care about your customers.
