Dress for Mother of the Bride

by Sharon
(Leeds)

Can I get my deposit back for a dress that does not fit me?

Answer by Diane:

Hi Sharon,

Thanks for asking your question. I think the first thing you have to check is the policy of the store where you purchased your dress.

If you were measured by the store and the wrong size dress was ordered, it was their mistake, and they should probably cover it and refund you or order in the correct size.

Would there be any possibility of perhaps altering the dress to better fit? I know that this is possbile if the dress fits too big, but highly unlikely if ordered too small.

The best thing is to work with the store to see if you can both come up with solution to your problem.

Best of luck to you,

Diane
