Dressilyme - Perfect Wedding Dress Online Shop
I ordered a dress of dressilyme and thought I would post a review. I had such a hard time researching where to go and what to do for my dress so I thought I would put my two cents in for those brides looking for a someone to custom make a dress just for them.
DressilyMe worked off pictures and drawings I had sent them and did a great job, especially because I am not a seamstress and had no pattern to send... they did a great job and were wonderfully flexible.
The customer service has been wonderful.
At first I spoke with Susan who was with the pre-order sales team, and then with Tina once my order was processed.
They were both attentive and answered all my questions promptly, usually within the day.
I am in New York, and the time difference affects the response time.
They were honest and upfront about what could and could not be done. It made life really easy on me.
I ordered on March 1st and pictures of the completed dress were sent to me March 21st.
I asked for a few modifications from those pictures, nothing major just me being a picky bride.
They were wonderful and accommodating. I received new pictures on March 24th with the requested modifications.
Here are the pictures of my dress. I had it made in an ivory and it was custom made.
They made the dress from pictures and drawings I had sent them.
There is scattered beading on the train of the dress that gets heavier toward the bottom of the train.
The sweetheart neckline is heavily beaded and scatters as it continues down the torso to the asymmetrical dropped-waist line.
The front of the skirt has no beading save for two diamante details, one on each hip and one dropped lower than the other.
I cannot wait until it comes. I will modify this review then and possibly post pictures of the dress on.
In the meantime, I wanted to share that my experience with Dressilyme to date as been a lovely and stress free one.
TIPS:
~Be as specific as possible and use simple English and be prepared to explain and possibly overlook some words that seem out of place. Some workers have a better understanding of English than others, and they do write very well. Just understand they are not North American or European, and therefore may or may not have the English skills you might have.
~Be polite. There is no need to be rude or push them around. They are wonderfully helpful and willing to do what it takes to make you happy. Tell them what you like and mention that you appreciate them for the work they are doing for you and tell them this is your wedding dress and are excited about wearing it on your special day. If you do not like something, simply ask them to change it.
~ Give yourself some time. You don't want to be stressed about your dress and then take it out on those making it. My dress was made in less than a month, and will be shipped shortly. It will probably get here inside of 6 weeks from the order date... shorter than a lot of bridal shops quote when asked to order a dress not custom made. Order early and leave yourself time to breath.
