Is a wedding invitation mailed to the groom's parents?

I think it is dependent on how the wedding invitation is worded.

If the wedding is hosted by both parents and both families are listed on the wedding invitation, then I would assume that they know the details of the day.

However, that being said, they would probably like to have a copy of the invitation for a keepsake.

If they are not hosting the wedding, then they should definitely be sent an invitation.

In either case, I would think that the groom's parents would like an invitation.
