Inviting Out of Town Relatives with Children
Would it be proper to just invite children from relatives who live out of town?
We really don't want many kids at the wedding but some cousins have to travel across country.
Answer by Diane:When dealing with guests that have to travel quite a distance, you are not dealing with the same situation as guests that can easily get a babysitter for a few hours.
These guests attending your wedding may have to get a hotel room for an overnight stay...this is really too much to ask of most parents with small children.
I think it is entirely appropriate in this instance to make an acception to "no children invited" especially if you would enjoy the company of the parents of said children at your wedding and wedding reception.
Best wishes to you always.
