Inweddingdress.com - They ruined my big day and refuse to pay!
by Andrea
Please don't buy anything from inweddingdress.com!
I am here to hopefully warn other brides not to make the same mistake I did.
I was hoping to save some money on a dress that I know I would only wear once, and tried looking for discounts online for my dream dress.
I came across inweddingdress.com and thought "It must be too good to be true!", but decided to take a chance since the dress I loved was so unbelievably cheap.
They offered custom tailoring and gave specific instructions on how to measure yourself, so I thought I couldn't go wrong.
Well, turns out I didn't, but they did!
When I got the dress, first of all, I was very disappointed and confused that it arrived balled up in a big envelope covered in plastic and tape (seriously!).
It was quite wrinkled but I couldn't wait to try it on.
It looked similar to the photo but the material wasn't what I expected, or what they described, and the beading was starting to unravel.
And before I even tried to zip the dress I knew I was in trouble.
I couldn't even get the zipper a quarter of the way up! I was shocked!
The dress seemed so far off my measurements, I thought for sure they sent me someone elses dress.
Since there was no phone number or contact information I sent them an email, which they finally responded to, two days later.
They told me the measurements were correct and suggested I measured myself wrong. This dress was so far off, I couldn't believe they could suggest that!
They told me to take photos of me measuring the dress to prove it, which I did and sent back to them.
I even sent a photo of the back of my dress to show that I couldn't come close to pulling the zipper up. As well as a photo of the beading that was coming off.
I figured they would apologize and send me the correct dress.
Wrong! All they did was argue that the pictures I took prove the measurements were correct and then had the gall to offer me a $20 off coupon if I wanted to return it.
Are you kidding me?!
They didn't even acknowledge the beading falling off!
Long story short... emails went back and forth for weeks with not even a hint of an apology from them. I finally gave up trying to argue with them.
I was stuck with a damaged dress that didn't even fit. I couldn't even have the dress taken out because for some reason they had sewn it almost to the edges of the material, leaving less than a quarter inch on each side. Who does that?!
They are horrible people to deal with! I was out the money for the dress and then had to find another one six weeks before my wedding.
That company had not only wasted my money, but also my time.
I did find a nice dress and was able to have it altered to fit me perfectly, but it wasn't the dream dress I had originally thought I ordered.
Do not order from them, unless you want extra stress while planning your wedding!
