Is www.dressale.com a reliable company?

I ordered 2 wedding dresses from Dressale.com and they contacted me to say the dresses will be late.

I read a terrible review on their facebook page and was wondering if anyone has dealt with them before or if they even exist?

In the meantime, let's take a little look at this company, www.dressale.com

It has been online for 1 year 8 months (as of May 2011) so it is a really young company compared to some that have been around for years.

They are yet another cheap Chinese wedding dress suppliers that have popped up on the internet and unfortunately, have surfaced on my website.

The only ways to contact them it seems is by live chat or by form. I couldn't find a phone number or mailing address...red flag, I really don't like dealing with a company who likes to hide itself.

I do note that they seem to reply on their facebook page sometimes.

I have checked out their Facebook page and discovered quite a few complaints about dressale.com as well.

Most seem to center on their not being able to deliver the goods (dresses) on time even though on their site they say We have exclusive contracts with many Chinese and Indian manufacturers, who continuously supply our warehouses with their latest dress models.


I will be contacting the ladies on the Facebook page and ask them to tell their stories on this website so that they could be a warning to other brides.

I have also found this detailed Ripoff Report - Dressale.com from a lady who ordered two dresses for herself and her daughter for her son's wedding.

I'm really hoping that everything works out for you, but you might be headed down the same path as the other ladies that never received their dresses on time as they have already contacted you to tell you the dresses would be late.

I think that I would prepare yourself to locate another dress to make sure that you have something for your wedding.

If you have paid through a credit card or through Paypal, I would contact them and start a complaint or inquiry into this company and this transaction so that you could get your money back should you so require to do so.

Please do write back and let us know what happened in your situation.

I personally find the American based suppliers such as Romantic Gowns, My Gowns.com, Plus Size Bridal more reliable and accountable.
