Comment by Diane:Hello Bhavya,
Thanks for writing to ask about jasminesbridalshop.com
I am not familiar with this wedding dress supplier so if there is anyone out there who has had experience with this company, please do write in.
In the meantime, we can take a little look at the company...
First I looked at the company's
Facebook page. You can also check out this
Facebook page.
I see people asking a lot of questions and some happy people who received their dress.
Perhaps it might be a good idea to get in contact with those people and ask them about their experience prior to your ordering.
They are a fairly new company. It looks like they have been online since August 5th, 2009.
It looks like they are in Shanghai, China, but I found that out on their Facebook page, not on their website.
In order to get in touch with them, you could do it on their facebook page, through email, contact form and telephone.
You should note that all the dresses on their site are knock-offs from the original designers...
Jasmine's Bridal Shop makes no attempt to act as the original manufacturer of any of the dresses we make. We simply recreate the dresses according to what we can see in the photos. All dresses are tagged with our own brand name - Jasmine's Bridal Shop. None of our products are counterfeit products, as we do not pretend to be any name brand(s).
It looks like they give you a choice between two grades of dresses when you order. Premium grade is a cheaper price but the "materials won't be the exact same materials as the dress in the original photos, but will be quite close".
If you can afford to pay more, you can choose the Designer grade service where they "would hire seamstresses and tailors who make dresses for world-famous designers to craft your dress. The fabrics and materials used will be the top grade ones, and the dress will look almost identical to the dress in the photos."
In their exchange and return policy, I couldn't see any restocking fee charges. You might want to ask further questions about their return policy and whether they charge a restocking fee.
You are responsible for paying the shipping costs.
Interestingly enough, they only require a 50% deposit before starting to make your dress and then the rest after they show you the finished pictures of your dress.
This is new!
As long as you understand that you are not getting the original designer dress but one fairly close to it, it might be worth a try to order from this company.
If you do, please let us know how it turns out!
Take care,
Diane
