Lightinthebox.com --or--BridalBlvd.com

by M

Has anyone ever order from Lightinthebox.com or BridalBlvd.com?

After searching online for weeks for something US based, we couldn't find anything to our liking.

So my sisters and I decided on a dress from lightinthebox.com. BUT learning from a previous incident of ordering online, I would not purchase something as important as this without a thorough research.

So I searched reviews about lightinthebox.com and I read some good reviews, BUT equally some bad reviews as well.

I was unsure, so I told my sisters we should just stick to ordering from the US.

My sister was excited to tell me the next day that she found BridalBlvd.com which had the same exact dress and my flower girl's dress as well.

So I checked it out, I noticed in their terms that they are affiliated with Lightinthebox.com.

And I searched their postal address and it led me to an industrial company website. So I chatted with their live customer rep. by the name of Emma.

Emma told me they are officed in the US, but get their dresses manufactured in China. I asked if they were affiliated with Lightinthebox.com as stated in their terms.

Emma stated that they are in no way connected to Lightinthebox.com, but I pointed out that it states so in their terms on their website.

Emma stated that there is "no such content" on their website. So I copied and pasted the exact statement which stated that Lightinthebox.com is a part of BridalBlvd.com. into our live chat.

So then Emma apologized for "the wrong words" on their website. Then I asked why their address is the same as another company.

I waited about 15 min for a reply, but after that Emma left the conversation.

So I don't think I will order from either site. I would much rather order from Lightinthebox.com because I have seen one youtube review that showed an actual package from lightinthebox.com.

Most of the bad reviews said that the packages in fact arrived, but the items ordered were not what they expected.

The good reviews, stated that they loved their dresses and would recommend. BUT I am also aware that many companies create fake profiles to advertise their products. So I don't really know what to think.

Most likely, I will buy locally, unless I get an actual recommendation from a real customer of the websites I mentioned above.
