MILANOO OR WEDDINGDRESSESMART?

Has anyone seen or heard of either of these companies? milanoo.com or weddingdressesmart.com
There are some pretty cute dresses on both sites, but I, like everyone, am wary because it seems too good to be true!
Any help would be appreciated!
I have a bit of time before it's officially crunch time for my wedding.
I was just browsing online to see which sites other than David's Bridal had beautiful and relatively inexpensive dresses.
These two sites have absolutely beautiful dresses but I am extremely skeptical to buy anything from a website that I can't find any reviews for.
Not only that, you can tell they are not located in the US based upon the way the website reads.
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Answer by Diane:Hello Jena,
Thanks for posting your question about these two wedding dress suppliers.
If anyone out there has had any experience with these two suppliers, please do post!
You are right to be careful out there so let's take a look at them one at a time...
www.milanoo.com - Has been around for about 3 years, 1 month (as of January 2011) and is based in China.
I always like to check how I can get in touch with a company, so looking at their website, you can submission form, live chat, email, snail mail, and telephone (looks like they have all their bases covered, me likey!).
I also like to check on how they handle questions and enquiries, so do use one or two of the above methods before thinking of ordering from milanoo.com.
The next thing I like to look at is their return and exchange policy if something goes wrong or if you are not happy with your purchase.
Their policy is a wee bit confusing...
For the dispute on size deviation, please take some photographs on the merchandise by laying it on the ground and place a tape ruler to measure out the different part. Customer shall submit the photographs to service@milanoo.com for designated personnel take the dispute and the relevant faulty confirmation. A reply with the resolution is offered within 24 hours.
The existing of color aberration is due to the affecting by PC monitor and weather condition. Quality problem shall refer to product blemish by distinctive holes or serious discolored and craze. The dissatisfaction of product with the imagination of different material or error color applied on the merchandise, etc shall not be regarded as quality problem. We shall offer the solution for goods exchange in the event of product dissatisfaction from the customer.
I couldn't see if they will give a full refund or charge a restocking fee.
You would have to look into this because sometimes they will charge up to 50% of what you paid and by the time you factor in how much you will have to pay for shipping the dress back to China.
The only thing I found on their website that kind of addresses this is...
Return and partial refund.
--Because the international shipping fee is very high and most of pictures on Milanoo.com are taken by us with real products. So we do not give full refund for returns without quality problems. Like "not like the picture"" not as imagining" or just "not satisfied"
--We will reduce the shipping fee from the order total amount, that means a partial refund. You also have to be careful, since some of the dresses might be pictures of the original designers wedding dresses whereas what you will get is a knock-off so be sure to ask that question prior to ordering from here.
Now, let's take a look at your next wedding dress supplier...
weddingdressmart.com - has been around for about two years, four months (as of January 2011). I really have no idea where the company is located since their contact us page only gives you a email address to get a hold of them (red flag).
To return dresses to this vendor, and by the way they will charge you a 30% restocking fee, you must contact them by email within three days of receiving the dress and send them pictures of what's wrong with the dress.
You are then at their mercy for them to give you an actual return address so that you can return your dress.
I don't know...it's your money, I know that you work hard for it and I would hate to have you disappointed.
Again, it would be important to ask if the dresses are knock-off (which I believe the answer will be "yes").
