Mini Wedding CakesMini Wedding Cakes can be sweet little presents for each of your guests at your Wedding Reception.Although these little guys might be the cutest thing you ever saw, be warned that, unlike their cupcake cousins, they take a lot of labour, and so could add up to be very costly. Some very talented bakers have perfected these sweet little packages that are just the perfect size to be handed out to each of your guests. Some couples decide to have a larger cake for them to ceremoniously cut and then portion out the mini wedding cakes out to each of their guests. You could choose to box each little mini cake so that the cakes serve as both wedding favor and cake for each of your wedding guests. You certainly have a lot of options for these little cakes. Either choose to go elegant, with each one looking like a traditional wedding cake only in miniature or you can go for a more casual or whimsical look and implement your wedding colors into each cake, etc. If you are going to have your mini cakes made by a professional baker, or even a friend, just pass along some ideas to him/her and explain how far you want them to take it. Here are some of the cakes I found on a great site called Cake Central. Just click on the image and it will take you to the submission page so you can get all the details on how it was created. Examples of Mini Wedding Cakes: In this example, the couple chose to have a main two-tiered wedding cake that is surrounded by 125 mini wedding cakes. The sizes are 2" rounds on top of 4" squares. Amazing detail work!  Here you can see the "size" of these cute little cakes. Just look at the decorations!  A classy, little black and white mini cake for a wedding complete with a bow!  A beautiful display of mini cakes; sponge covered with fondant and sugar ice hearts and suagar topper.  Here are some cute mini vanilla sponge cakes covered in sugar paste, with royal icing stems and gum paste flowers.

Cute mini cakes; french vanilla with Italian meringue buttercream, second was white wedding cake with traditional buttercream. 
These mini cakes are carrot cakes, covered in vanilla bc and fondant, gold ribbon and gold board with white chocolate truffle ontop. The larger cake at the top is a vanilla sponge hollowed and filled with teramissu mousse, with a chocolate paste collar Yum!
