My Dress came from China! (inweddingdress.com)
by Ileah
A girl's wedding is supposed to be the best experience ever, from dress shopping to the actual day. I ordered my dress from inweddingdress.com and had a HORRIBLE experience. Just like others said, it arrived in a strange package, by a weird delivering company (creepy van). When I opened the package, there was a lot of Chinese writing on the receipt and it said CHINA EXPRESS.
When looking online, the company looked American. Even the charge on my credit card look legit. I could not keep the dress as I did not feel very beautiful thinking that a young/old lady in a sweat shop in China made this beautiful dress, so I could get it for a good price ($250).
Of course, I tried contacting their customer service, which is only available through e-mail (no phone number). They quickly responded, but told me they were going to charge me a 50% restocking fee and the dress had to be shipped in 3 days in perfect condition. I was not very pleased with this and decided to fight it with my credit card company. My credit card company took care of everything and reimbursed me the full amount the next day(thank you American Express).
I then had to deal with threatening e-mails from the wedding dress company as they did not receive their money nor had their dress back. They were threatening to ruin my credit and get an attorney involved. Of course I returned the dress because it was nothing but bad luck anyway.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY UNLESS YOU PLAN ON KEEPING WHAT YOU PURCHASE....
Good luck!
