Never Use Dressale.com
by Alissa
(New York)
Three of us ordered custom-sized bridesmaid dresses from dressale.com 3 months ahead of the wedding.
They promised to deliver within 30 days.
After 30 days my dress had not arrived.
When I tried to log on to their website it was down for 4-5 days. I emailed them and they said they needed almost another month.
I told them that this was unacceptable that I needed it in 3 days or I wanted my money back. They said they would try.
The deadline came and went and no dress.
One of the other girls got her dress but the material was cheap and they made the straps so short she couldn't lift her arms.
Dressale.com of course, are refusing to refund her money.
The third girl has yet to even get her dress.
I was able to get my money back through PayPal.
So, if you want to use this company I suggest paying with PayPal or your credit card so at least you'll have a way to possibly get your money back.
Comment by Diane:Hello Alissa,
Thank you very much for taking the time to write about your experience with Dressale.com
I'm sorry that you had such a tough time with them, but I'm glad you wrote about it here to save another bride some heartache and frustration in the future.
I'm also very glad that you got a refund through your Paypal account. It is very important to pay with a credit card or Paypal so that at least you have some chance of getting your money back.
I personally find the American based suppliers such as
Romantic Gowns,
My Gowns.com,
Plus Size Bridal more reliable and accountable.
