I received my dress and it is the wrong size, the jacket that comes with it is even bigger! I had to pay £95 pounds extra to get it released at customs even though the sales advisor told me that the £80 shipping charge was enough for it to be delivered.
I am on a tight budget and would not have bought the dress had I known it was going to be £95 more.
They are not responding to my 'e'mails so I am in limbo at the moment and don't know what to do.........
On the plus side I was given a complementary bag and shawl with my dress.. the down side is they are white my dress is ivory!
Think very carefully before using this site, these dresses are made in China had I known that I would have used a Chinese site and saved money, The jacket quality is very poor!

Romantic Gowns is one of the sites that I do recommend brides buy from and have heard nothing but good things about them, so I would really like to try to help you through this.

You said that they sent you the wrong size dress; on their policy page they clearly state that "All buyers are responsible for all shipping, returns and exchange shipping fees unless the merchandise has been mistakenly shipped."

So if they sent you the wrong size dress, I believe they would cover the returns fees. Now, if they sent you the dress you ordered, but you feel that the sizing is incorrect, that is another story.


As for the customs (doesn't the government always want their share?!), their policy also states "For International shipments, the buyer is responsible for all customs and duty charges."

I know from looking at a lot of Chinese wedding dress sites, they will say that they will mark your package a gift so that you won't have to pay duty on it, but you must realize that this is illegal.

Any business that is willing to do something so illegal makes me wonder what else they would do?

I asked them myself about their dresses and they state that all their dresses are original designer dresses.

Believe me, most of the dresses you see on the Chinese wedding dress sites are only the pictures of the original designer dresses that they take and post on their own sites.

If you order from them what you will receive is a cheap knock-off of the original. Just take a look through the reviews you will find here.

There is many a heartache ordering from a Chinese wedding dress supplier.

Out of all the reviews that I have received (approximately 500), yours is the only one who was disappointed with RomanticGowns.com
