A Wedding Finger Food Reception

A wedding finger food reception is usually much less cost than a full course sitdown dinner.

What I would suggest if you do decide to use this kind of wedding reception food is to clarify what kind of wedding reception you are going to be having so that your guests will know what to expect.

Finger food is also a great idea to have on hand when guests arrive in the reception is not yet ready to start. Either you and your partner are having photos taken or are busy with any other kind of wedding business.

If you are planning to have hors d'oeuvres with dinner being served as well, you should allow four pieces per person per hour.

If you are not having a dinner, and simply plan on a wedding finger food reception, then you should plan on surveying about 12 to 15 hors d'oeuvres per person.

Since many finger food receptions can be formal or casual, you can have all the rituals of traditional wedding receptions as well.

It usually doesn't last as long as a dinner and it gives couples the chance to sneak off early to start their honeymoon.

Sometimes, however, more alcohol is consumed at these events since they sometimes have no assigned table seating and guests tend to stand and mingle.

There are two ways to serve your hors d'oeuvres at a wedding reception; you can either choose to have them passed by tray carrying waiters or you can have trays set up on tables as a sort of hors d'oeuvre stations.

While using waiters will keep guests from crowding tables and will make guests feel like they've been taking care of, using table stations are cheaper since you won't have to pay the wait staff.

Now let's look at some wedding finger food reception ideas as to what kind of foods can be served.
