Seated Wedding Reception Games can be a source of great fun and entertainment for both your guests and you.





Sometimes, when planning activities for your wedding reception, it might be a good idea to plan some that they can do from their seats.

Not all of your guests will be brave enough to participate in Dance Floor Activities, so you should also throw in some seated wedding reception activities they can participate in or watch.

The Newlywed Game

During this seated wedding reception game, have the MC or the dj at your wedding reception have everyone take their seats at their tables and watch the Newlywed Game show featuring the new newlywed couple.

For this seated wedding reception game, the bride and groom take seats in the middle of the dance floor back to back. Then, either using their own shoes or make up small signboards, give each a bride shoe/board and a groom shoe/board.

Then the MC or the dj asks the bride and groom a series of questions that each will answer independently and therein lies the fun! To see who answers which way!

Perfect questions to ask are:

• Between the two of you, who has the most cash on them?
• Between the two of you, who is the biggest flirt?
• When you were dating, who made the first move
• Who's a better cook?
• Who said "I love you" first?
• Between the two of you, who has the wackiest family?
• Who's the better driver?
• Who spends the most time in front of the mirror?
• Who's in control of the remote?
• Who's in control of the cheque book?
• Who's most likely to have dessert for breakfast?
• Who's going to be doing most of the yard work?
• Who wears the pants in the family?
• Who takes the longest to get ready to go out?
• If you haven't already, who will be the first one to pass gas in front of the other?
• Now that you're married, who will be the first one to say "not tonight"?
• Which one of you will be the first to say, "I'm sorry"?
• Who is the better kisser?
• Who will be the first to fall asleep tonight?
• Who do you love most in the whole world?

Wedding Reception Games - The Best Kiss

This takes a little of the focus off the bride and groom. The MC says that the bride and groom need lessons in knowing how to kiss and ask the bride and groom for guest couples to come up on the dance floor and demonstrate how to kiss.

It's good to pick about four couples to participate. Then the MC gives them the go ahead to kiss and the rest of the guests and wedding party will judge as to which couple was the best kisser.

Find the Groom

In this game, the bride is blindfolded and the groom along with a few male volunteers unbuttons or takes off their shirts. The bride then goes to each of the guys and has to find her "groom".

Find the Bride

This game is played somewhat like "Find the Groom" but you can twist it somewhat.

You can start off with the bride and other women volunteers, but, after the groom is blindfolded, replace the girls with men dressed up in wigs, etc. in order to fool the groom.

Mission (Im)Possible

In this seated wedding reception game, have the dj play the theme song for Mission Impossible and have the groom either take off or put on the bride's garter. You could have a lot of fun with this one!

Up the Sleeve and Down the Pantleg

In this game, an object is chosen and the bride has to try to feed the object in through the groom's sleeve and down through the shirt and pants and out the pant leg. Really can be quite funny!

Garter Twist

In this game, you set up the groom to place the garter on his bride and blindfold him, then you replace the bride with another man and watch what happens.
