Photo Wedding Reception Games and Activities can be a great source of amusement and create great memories for you and your guests.
You may be off with your fiance and the rest of the wedding party getting your pictures taken by your official photographer, but that doesn't mean that your guests just have to stand around waiting for you to arrive and the reception ready to begin!

Photo Guest BookThere are many ways that you can implement cameras and photos as wedding reception games and activities into your wedding reception to entertain your family and friends. As they arrive at the reception, have a photo guest book set up so that you can get a visual memory of your guests. Try to find either a polaroid camera or digital camera with printer so that pictures of your guests can be instant. Have a volunteer man the guestbook so that each guest's picture gets taken and placed in the book. As the next guests picture gets taken and printed, the first guests can write in a note of congratulations and perhaps some advice for the newlywed couple.
Photo Back DropsSetting up beautiful arches or other kinds of backdrops make a fun phot wedding reception game and activity for your guests. As your guests arrive, have them pose with the arch or backdrop and arrange to have someone take their picture for your album with a camera.
Table CamerasThis is a great idea to use for wedding reception games and activities. Make sure that you get a disposable camera for each guest table. You could number them and then also have an autograph book (number it too so you can match the pictures up with the right book) at each table where your guests can pass around and write a note in.
As an alternative to disposable table cameras checkout Wedding Photo Shot, a photo sharing website.
Photo BoothsAnother increasingly popular activity for couples to use at their wedding is renting a photo booth. You know the kind that you see at shopping malls...put in your money, go inside, adjust the stool (fix your hair, etc.) and smile while the booth automatically takes your picture. People have a tendency to go a little crazy and wild with these instant photo booths, so they usually are a really great hit with your guests. And don't forget you can still take some of these guest photos and add them into the guest book as mentioned above. To find one in your area do a google search on "photo booth rental". Whose the Baby? This is a fun activity to keep your guests entertained and to let them know more about the newlyweds and the wedding party (sort of like a receiving line without the receiving line). Have each person in the wedding party submit a baby picture and make up a board with each person answer questions like "I have ___ sisters....I like to _______" and so on so that each person will provide some clues as to which baby is which. Now you can either place the answers under a flap so that everyone can check after guessing or you can actually make a contest out of it and offer a prize to the guest who guesses the most correct answers. If you can think of or know of any other fun activity that has been played at a wedding, be sure to share it on the Wedding Reception Games page.
