Western Wedding Cakes are the perfect match for your western themed wedding or if you are just a little bit country and want it to be known at your wedding.
First, choose if you would like to have it as a slab cake or tiered cake or something in between. You could choose to use anything that is indicative of a western theme.
Some ideas to use in a western themed cakes are hats, boots, rope and lariats, bolo ties, horses, horse shoes, big belt buckles, cacti, tumbleweeds, wagons, wildflowers, hay/straw bales, fringes, kerchiefs, saddles, cows, guitars, harmonicas, etc.
You get the idea! If you are having your cake made by a baker just pass on some of these suggestions and how far you want her to take it.
Choose either to go all out or toned down, it's going to be up to you! Here are some of the cakes I found on a great site called Cake Central.
Just click on the image and it will take you to the submission page so you can get all the details on how it was created.
It uses the western themes of jeans, big belt buckle (Sheriff, in this case) and cow hide and of course, a cowboy's trusty horse ready with rope in mouth!
