What Wedding Reception Games Can You Play On the Dance Floor???

I know about Bride and Father or Groom and Bride 1st dance, maybe a line dance, and flower tossing, but what others are there to do?

Answer by Diane:

Hi there,

Thanks for your question and welcome to the site!

You have named the most traditional wedding reception games and activities to do on the dance floor, but there are indeed many other things you can do as well.

You can ask guests for their requests for music so that you can get more people out on the dance floor.

play the old standbys such as the "Chicken Dance", "YMCA", "Macarena" or anything else that gets people moving and joining in. You could even try the "Bunny Hop".

You can also get your guests on the dance floor with an experienced teacher teaching steps of the waltz or tango or how about some line dancing with a group of guests.

You can also encourage guests to get on to the dance floor by snowballing it, freeze and even try the limbo.

For more ideas, you can check Dance Floor Activities and other Wedding Reception Games.

Hope that you find some ideas in those areas,

Take care and best wishes always,

Diane
