Has anyone bought a dress from either one of these sites:

www.wholesale-weddingdresses.com

They seem very similar except for prices. I'm very wary of buying a wedding dress online from a factory in China however I have seen the most perfect dress on these sites and would like to know if I should risk it or not?

Any help would be great!!

Thanks for writing to us today about these two online wedding dress suppliers.

As of yet, I haven't heard anything good or bad about them, so if there is anyone out there who has ordered from them, please do let us know how things went.

In the meantime, let's take a look at these companies.

www.weddinggowns-dresses.com - Is a relatively new company, that has been online for 1 year and 10 months (as of August 2011).

I should point out to you that there are no returns allowed on purchases, in case you didn't see that in the fine print.

I don't know it might be me, but I kind of like a company that stands behind the quality of its product and whether the customer will be satisfied with it!

It is located in China and it must be paired with another company because it keeps mentioning "Best Planner" throughout it's policies.

I think that what is important for you to consider is that this company makes knock-offs of designer dresses.

"Maggie style of designer wedding dresses is the most acceptable designs for brides. Best planner can make these designer wedding dresses with the most beautiful design." They are referencing a Maggie Sottero gown.


These are usually of inferior quality, fabric and workmanship.

Brides who order these dresses are somewhat tricked into thinking that they will receive the original designer dress for such a low price.

They usually end up disappointed, so please be careful.

You can also read through the reviews of other brides who purchased such knock-offs elsewhere.

I personally find the American based suppliers such as Romantic Gowns, My Gowns.com, Plus Size Bridal more reliable and accountable.

They also sell the original dresses, NOT knock-offs.

http://www.wholesale-weddingdresses.com - is yet another Chinese based online wedding dress supplier.

What concerns me right off the bat with this company is the fact that I can't find their returns policy page. I am guessing that that means they don't have one!

Their email address to contact them is just a "gmail" address....not very professional.

It has only been online for 1 year and 8 months.

They also make knock-offs but use the original designers' photos.

I think you will find yourself frustrated in communicating with them as the site itself is written in very poor english..."In our collection of wedding dresses, you can not find elegant wedding dresses and designer wedding dresses, but you can find a big variety beach wedding dresses."

I hope that I have given you some food for thought...I just hate brides getting taken advantage of.

I know that you want a beautiful dress for your wedding, but you have to weigh the risks...please take some time to read the other reviews and experiences other brides have gone through with companies such as these.
