Wedding Church Decoration Tips will help you add that wow factor to your wedding ceremony location.
Although you might not be spending a whole lot of time at the church, you still would like it to really shine on your special moment.
There are a few key areas to look after as far as it goes with decorations. It's going to be up to you how intricate your decorations are going to be.
Some of the decorations can certainly do double duty and be used again as decorations at your reception site, so make sure that you have your Volunteer Wedding Coordinators (friends and family) to help with the movement from ceremony to reception site.
Wedding Church Decoration Tips - The Ceremony Entrance
This will be where first your guests will enter into the ceremony site, but it will also be the way you are probably going to be entering as well to walk down the aisle, so you must give this area some attention.
It may also be a good idea to set up a stand off to the side for the Guest Book so that early arriving guests to the ceremony could sign the book prior to the reception. (some guest may only be able to make it for the ceremony so they would be missed if you only were to place your book out at the reception site).
You could also set out copies of your Ceremony Programs for your guests to pick up so that they will know who is in the wedding party and what elements are going to take place during the ceremony.
Instead of using arches, you could place pots of flowers or potted trees, perhaps decorated with mini lights to signify the entranceway.
Wedding Church Decoration Tips - The Aisle
If you are having a flower girl, you could have her scatter Fresh Rose Petals so that you can walk on them later on as you go down the aisle.
Do check with your ceremony site to see if this is allowed. Some will say okay if the petals are Silk Rose Petals, but some may veto the idea altogether.
In this case, you can check to see if an Aisle Runner is allowed. If you do use one, make sure that you use the special double sided tape that is sold with it as a way to make sure it is firmly affixed to the floor.
You wouldn't want your guests (or you) to be tripping down the aisle and getting hurt!
The pews or chairs are another way to decorate the aisleway of your ceremony reception. Definitely check out Tulle Wedding Decorations for some great ideas on how to use this material to make beautiful bows and swags for your pews.
If you want to add an extra little zing to your pew bows, you could also incorporate Wedding Flowers as a complement to your and your bridesmaids bouquets.
Wedding Church Decoration Tips - The Altar
As with everything, ask first as to what is allowed and not allowed (don't forget this is a place of worship!), but here are some ideas to play around with...
Either have pots of flowers or large floral tribute type arrangements surrounding the altar. Unity Candles or Sand Ceremony Kits are very popular and will more than likely be a symbolic part of your special day.
Altar Crosses are also being used during the ceremony and then kept later on for memorial purposes. Should you wish to remember a loved one who has passed there are many Wedding Memorials available for you.
